Saudi Arabia’s hotel scene is moving fast, and Riyadh is at the centre of the momentum. The latest name preparing to make its mark in the capital is The Riyadh EDITION, which is now listed on the brand’s official website as “coming soon.”
For now, the finer details remain under wraps. The EDITION Hotels site has not revealed an address, opening date, or timeline for the Riyadh outpost, but its arrival will be significant. When it opens, it will become the brand’s third property in Saudi Arabia, following The Jeddah EDITION and The Red Sea EDITION.
EDITION’s debut in the Kingdom began with The Jeddah EDITION, which opened on 2 May 2024 along the Jeddah Corniche, close to the Yacht Club and marina. More recently, The Red Sea EDITION opened on Shura Island as part of The Red Sea destination, bringing the brand’s signature brand of pared-back glamour to Saudi Arabia’s new wave of coastal escapes.
If the other Saudi openings are anything to go by, the Riyadh property should lean into EDITION’s core formula of design-led spaces, calm and tactile interiors, and a nightlife-and-dining focus that turns the lobby into a social address. In Jeddah, that translates to a compact, high-style hotel with a strong food and beverage offering and rooftop energy, while The Red Sea EDITION places wellness and escape at the heart of its beachfront experience.
Riyadh, meanwhile, is building towards a new era of global visitation, with major developments accelerating across the city and the 2034 FIFA World Cup on the horizon. As soon as more details drop, expect The Riyadh EDITION to be one of the capital’s most anticipated openings.
