The site will boast luxury villas and private estates.

AMAN has opened luxury hotels and residences around the world. Now, it is set to open Amansamar Residences in Wadi Safar, Saudi Arabia. The development is located near the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Diriyah, on the outskirts of Riyadh.

Situated in the heart of Wadi Safar, Amansamar Residences will rise dramatically from the desert landscape. The name combines the Sanskrit word for peace, aman, with the Arabic phrase for sharing stories and knowledge with friends, samar. Amansamar aims to create a community which is founded on connection and tranquillity. Plus, the name also translates to “the peaceful acacia tree”, which is a symbol of resilience.

Amansamar Residences will be home to world-class amenities, all in a natural setting. The site will be an 80-key property, which includes ultra-luxury villas and private estates. Each five- to six-bedroom home is set on an expansive plot starting from 9,000 square metres. The homes have been carefully positioned along cliffs and desert terrain, and maximise natural light as well as panoramic views.

The facilities include an Aman Spa with the signature hammam, banya houses and hydrotherapy facilities. The development will consist of dining venues, a Racquet Club, multiple swimming pools, and a Kids’ Club.

Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects is behind the brand’s signature minimalist design. Residents are near Wadi Safar’s Royal Signature Golf Course, which Greg Norman has designed. Plus, the area is near polo and equestrian facilities.

Aman Group’s developments in the region include the soon-to-open Aman Hegra in AlUla, and the under-construction Aman Dubai and Janu Dubai. There will also be a 183-metre luxury motor yacht developed in partnership with Cruise Saudi, Amangati, which will begin voyages in the Mediterranean in 2027.
