AC Milan and SportPlex have announced the opening of a new AC Milan Academy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, set to launch in 2026. This investment is founded on values of excellence, marking the club’s first step in a growing and strategic region.

This long-term initiative will introduce a new development model in partnership with the AC Milan Method. The aims primarily focus on creating sporting, educational, and social values. It is led by the Ministry of Sport and the Ministry of Investment to promote Saudi Arabia’s sports sector, health, and well-being.

SportPlex is Jeddah’s largest indoor multi-sport facility, focusing on excellence, social impact, and sustainability. The club’s coaches will be encouraged to apply the AC Milan Method to help young players develop their technical skills, discipline and personal growth.

The academy’s launch in Saudi Arabia reflects AC Milan’s commitment to expanding its presence in the region. This is also demonstrated by the First Team’s current presence in Saudi Arabia in preparation for the 2025 Supercoppa Italiana.

Maikel Oettle, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan, said: “The opening of the AC Milan Academy in Jeddah marks the club’s first concrete step toward a long-term vision in a region that is key to our international growth. Saudi Arabia is experiencing significant transformation, with clear goals to develop sport, empower youth, and foster a more active society, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

“Through our partnership with SportPlex, we introduce the AC Milan Method to Jeddah, focusing on excellence, education, and values, to help create sporting, educational, and social value for future generations.”
