The Capsule in Riyadh launches a creative hub

Whether you want to hire a studio or join an arts workshop, here’s what to expect from the cool new space.

Suppose you have creative fantasies that you want to make a reality, head over to The Capsule in Riyadh. The new venue has opened in Saudi Arabia’s capital and it is buzzing with creatives, as it aims to be a cultural hub for the kingdom’s arts crowd.

The Capsule is located in Tower Square, Ghirnatah, and is on a mission to support the country’s creative scene. The vast warehouse-like space includes a theatre and panoramic studio, and hosts courses and workshops. Guests have access to state-of-the-art equipment including lights, cameras and instruments.

Whether you want to get into photography, modelling, painting or design, this is a go-to spot to explore your talents and network (okay, mingle) with likeminded people. Creative spaces are available to hire, from an all-white studio for shoots to a trendy meeting space with mustard-coloured chairs, no less.

Managing director of The Capsule, Bandar Hawsawi, explains: “It’s one of its kind in the region, as we are focusing on all kinds of arts. We are talking to people with an artistic sense like photographers, videographers, fashion designers and creative thinkers – people that need space and people that need atmosphere. We look forward to more achievements and excelling in so many ways. We look forward to elevating the artistic community here in the capital of Saudi Arabia.”

If this sounds like your sort of scene, then keep MDLBeast’s XP Music Futures on your radar. The musical event is taking place across Riyadh from 28 to 30 November, and is a music conference that brings together international as well as local talent. Budding creatives can gain inspiration at panel discussions, workshops with musicians, networking opportunities with industry professionals and nightlife events.

Riyadh, get those creative juices flowing.
