The world’s longest-running musical returns to Marina Bay Sands with a large-scale touring production.

Singapore’s entertainment calendar continues to gather pace, and now one of musical theatre’s most enduring productions is making a powerful return. Les Misérables: The Arena Spectacular has arrived at Sands Theatre in Singapore, bringing Victor Hugo’s timeless story to the stage in a format created for larger venues and bigger audiences.

Running until 10 May 2026, this Les Misérables in Singapore reimagines the beloved production with enhanced scale, impressive staging and a cast and orchestra of more than 65 performers. While the heart of the show remains unchanged, this version has been designed to feel even more immersive, placing added emphasis on visual storytelling, dramatic lighting and the emotional sweep that has made Les Misérables a global phenomenon.

For those new to the story, Les Misérables follows Jean Valjean, a man determined to rebuild his life after imprisonment, while being relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert. Along the way, the narrative introduces a host of unforgettable characters, including Fantine, Cosette, Marius and Éponine, each adding depth to a story shaped by love, sacrifice, injustice and redemption. It is a musical that balances personal heartbreak with political upheaval, which is perhaps why it has remained so relevant for so many years.

Audiences can also expect to hear some of theatre’s most recognisable songs, including I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, Bring Him Home and One Day More. These numbers have helped define the production since its debut, and they continue to resonate with audiences across generations.
