FKA Mash releases debut album EXITECHNO this September after two decades in music.
The South African DJ will be accompanied by Singapore-based music duo KUNDA for his latest appearance in Singapore.

From Soweto to Sentosa Cove, FKA Mash returns to Singapore for a guest DJ takeover at this year’s edition of W PRESENTS Local Sessions.
While some musical prodigies start at the piano, FKA Mash discovered his talent at 12, experimenting with DJ production software on a friend’s laptop. Twenty years later, the South African DJ released his debut album, EXITECHNO, in September, ahead of his headline appearance at W PRESENTS Local Sessions on 17 October 2026.
For one night only, FKA Mash will bring his signature house and techno sound to the decks at WOOBAR, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove. Joining him is the Singapore-based nightlife collective KUNDA, a DJ duo consisting of Max Verrier and Cyril Labaude, who will help set the mood before the headliner takes over.
Born Mashoto Gabedi Lekgothoane, FKA Mash has spent years carving a name for himself on the international circuit. He clinched Remix of the Year at the 2019 Dance Music Awards South Africa and earned a nomination in the same category at the South African Music Awards the following year. His sets have since taken him from Soweto to Bali, Ibiza, and London, while collaborations and opportunities to work alongside fellow DJs Black Coffee, Julian Gomes, and Solomun have helped propel him onto the global stage.
With EXITECHNO, FKA Mash is looking beyond the dance floor to shine a light on the lesser-explored corners of South African music. While amapiano, house and soul have earned the country plenty of international recognition, the DJ hopes his debut will encourage listeners to venture beyond the usual suspects. Two decades in the making, the album also serves as a sonic scrapbook of his evolution, charting the journey of an artist who, by his own admission, is still figuring out exactly who he wants to be. Evidently, even wunderkinds need a little time to work things out.
W PRESENTS Local Sessions is part of W Hotels’ global initiative to champion both international and homegrown creatives, giving emerging talent a platform to reach new audiences. The Singapore edition kicks off with Fire Up The Grill, a buffet dinner serving flame-grilled surf and turf, before the evening moves to WOOBAR for free-flow alcoholic tipples. FKA Mash takes over at midnight, giving guests ample time to build up a buzz before the bass drops.
