The KENSHI YONEZU 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR / GHOST will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 29 January 2027.
The record-breaking Japanese musician will take the stage at Singapore Indoor Stadium for one night only.
Outside of anime, the name Kenshi Yonezu may not immediately ring a bell. But anyone familiar with the Japanese music scene should know his work. For instance, Yonezu most recently composed the theme songs “IRIS OUT” and “JANE DOE” for one of the most highly anticipated anime films, Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc. The former became a top five hit on the Billboard Global 200 chart, setting a new record for the highest position ever achieved by a Japanese-language track. This January, Kenshi Yonezu will be making his debut appearance in Singapore with his world tour at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 29 January 2027.
The tour kicks off in Seoul before heading to the Lion City, then continues through key cities across North America and Europe. And if you think “IRIS OUT” is impressive, Yonezu has a few more records up his sleeve. His track “KICK BACK”, the opening theme for the Chainsaw Man anime series, became the first Japanese-language song to earn Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America in 2022.
Yonezu’s career began well before Hollywood-level anime adaptations and chart-topping soundtracks entered the picture. In 2009, he began producing electronic music using Vocaloid, a singing-synthesis software that allows users to create music with virtual vocals. He soon cultivated a devoted underground following before releasing his first self-produced album, Diorama, in 2012.
Yonezu released the albums Yankee, Bremen and Bootleg between 2013 and 2017, steadily building his reputation as one of Japan’s most compelling new musical talents. Then came “Lemon”, the single that sent his career into overdrive, and topped the Billboard Japan Hot 100 for two consecutive years. Since then, he has become something of a go-to hitmaker for some of the most anticipated anime releases in production.
His creative reach extends beyond Chainsaw Man too. Yonezu composed music for Hayao Miyazaki’s Oscar-winning film The Boy and the Heron, while his albums Stray Sheep and Lost Corner have sold millions of copies worldwide. Blending experimental electronic music with alternative rock and J-pop, he has built a sound that is distinctly his own, refusing to be boxed into any one genre. For an artist who began by experimenting with virtual vocals, Yonezu has come a long way from the underground.
Tickets to see Kenshi Yonezu live in Singapore will go on general sale from 22 October 2026.
