This generous spirit of communal dining is what Le Ju Xuan, the newest Chinese restaurant at Marina Bay Sands, hopes to capture with a rich menu celebrating the flavours of Cantonese classics, Northern Chinese favourites, and bold Sichuan specialities.
Housed at Marina Bay Sands Hotel Tower 2, the 188-seat restaurant is a smartly dressed destination where all manner of dining experiences, be it celebratory or casual, can unfold over a generous spread of shared dishes. Its name — which loosely translates from Chinese to “a pavilion of joy and gathering” — informs its setting as a place of conviviality. While Marina Bay Sands is already home to acclaimed Chinese restaurants such as Jing Ting Wan and Mott 32, few can match the wide options to wine and dine that Le Ju Xuan offers.
Here, the menu is helmed by chef Simon Tho, executive director of Chinese & Asian culinary, who brought together the distinct preparations of regional Chinese cuisines under one menu. Standouts from Le Ju Xuan include the Marble Goby, Sichuan Mapo Tofu with Sea Cucumber, and fresh ocean catch that can be prepared according to the guests’ preferences. Comforting staples such as handmade noodles and dumplings round out its food offerings.
And accompanying the dishes is Le Ju Xuan’s expansive selection of the Chinese national spirit baijiu, with over 70 labels in its collection for tasting. Just like the restaurant’s approach to its food menu, the collection is sourced from different Chinese regions and allows newcomers and seasoned enthusiasts alike opportunities to discover the spirit’s wide aromatic varieties. These include rare vintages and limited releases that best showcase the refined artisanship of Chinese breweries.
