Pop Mart lovers should mark their calendars, because the toy maker’s flagship Pop Bakery is headed for Singapore this July.
Pop Mart need not leave a cookie-crumb trail to lead Singaporeans to its doors. Since the first appearance of the collectible toy shops on Singapore’s shores, locals forming snaking queues at their shopfront are no foreign sightings each time a new blind box collectible hits the shelves. Come 30 July, Pop Mart is set to raise the bar on all the hype, with the opening of its first Southeast Asia Pop Bakery at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore.
Back in 2025, Pop Mart became a worldwide cultural phenomenon, when its Labubu dolls sent global audiences into a shopping frenzy. At its peak, Pop Mart toy collections were bought by shoppers in their entirety as complete box sets, and became famously known to be hard to come by for those queueing too far down the line. Pop Mart’s rapid retail takeover also meant an expansion of its cast of characters. Just as there are ardent fans of Labubu, the same goes for its Skullpanda, Crybaby, Dimoo, Hirono, and Molly plush collectibles.
While little is known about the baked goods on sale at the Pop Bakery in Singapore, Pop Mart has unveiled a Singapore-exclusive toy and accessories lineup featuring its Chaka, Hacipupu, and Twinkle Twinkle character designs inspired by uniquely Singaporean motifs. This includes the Hacipupu bearing resemblance to the Merlion while cradling the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid, and Twinkle Twinkle dressed as an otter.
Those looking for inklings on what the Pop Bakery would likely offer when it comes to edible products need only look at its previous rollouts in major cities of China. Sans fresh daily bakes, Pop Bakery’s shelves are expected to be stocked full of cookies, chocolates, and other confectionery, all adorably packaged in boxes and sleeves inspired by Pop Mart’s famous characters. Shoppers should also expect large-than-life installations at the Pop Bakery, making a trip down to the Singaporean island a must-visit destination in July.
