Rituel Tokyo opens its doors in Singapore with an exclusive menu, including a humidity-proof croissant.
At the café, afternoon tea, French comfort food, and an extensive pastry selection is available all-day.

Indulging in viennoiserie and other pastry-forward French staples is an all-day affair at café Rituel Tokyo.
Rituel Tokyo makes an example of the Japanese sensibility to create with intention with its first Singapore outpost, soft-launched this July. Exclusive to the city, the café has created a signature layer croissant comprising 36 delicate layers, made with premium French butter, French flour, and a dose of bakery magic that ensures the pastry stays crispy in Singapore’s unrelenting humidity.
Housed within Takashimaya Shopping Centre, its location offers diners the proposition to pause and spend some time in leisure with the Rituel Tokyo Bouquet afternoon tea. Crafted just for Singapore, the tea is a highlight for the café’s signature creations, such as its Brioche Flower Donuts, Strawberry Paris-Brest, and sandwiches, arranged on a triple-tier silver stand. Between bites, diners can sip on a selection of curated teas, Valrhona chocolate chaud, mocktails inspired by five different cities, and a one-of-a-kind roasted coffee blend from Singapore’s Dutch Colony Coffee.
Beyond baked goods, sweets play a prominent role in Rituel Tokyo’s menu too, with a range of entremets and towering ice-cream parfaits that require a reservation to order. And for the ladies and gents who lunch, a hearty and more substantial menu for ordering includes French café staples featuring duck confit, fricassée, and pasta dishes. Here, a danish sandwich stuffed with softly scrambled eggs and topped with ribbons of black truffle, and pot pie soups crowned with a golden flaky crust that breaks into the broth below, are mentioned as standouts.
Of this latest international opening, Masaru Watanabe, managing director of the Japanese dining and lifestyle company Baycrew’s Co, which oversees Rituel Tokyo, says, “Singapore is a meaningful next step for us: a city where diverse cultures meet and where people deeply appreciate refined food experiences. This flagship will serve as a showcase for our future expansion across South-east Asia, and a place where we continue to evolve the Rituel experience for a new audience.”
In celebration of its soft launch, Rituel Tokyo is offering its Bouquet afternoon tea for two priced at S$100, down from its regular price of S$118, with complimentary free-flow non-alcoholic sparkling drinks. Coming this August, diners will receive a complimentary signature croissant with a S$30 spend, and afternoon tea guests can pair their bites with a bottle of Louis Roederer Champagne for S$86 instead of its usual price of S$140.
