Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s rainforest attraction features canopy trails, climbing structures, and new National Geographic pop-up stores.
Mandai Wildlife Reserve is taking its rainforest adventure to new heights. Rainforest Wild Adventure will expand on 20 May 2026 with the launch of its new East Zone, adding a second phase to one of Singapore’s most immersive nature-based attractions.
Located within Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Rainforest Wild Adventure has been designed as more than a traditional wildlife park. Instead of static viewing points, the attraction encourages visitors to move through layered environments inspired by the world’s rainforests. The concept combines animal habitats, physical adventure routes, and ecosystem-led storytelling, creating an experience that sits somewhere between a wildlife attraction, a nature trail, and an adventure park.

The new East Zone shifts the focus to Afro-tropical landscapes and the elevated world of the rainforest canopy. Visitors will be able to navigate canopy-level walkways, rope bridges and vertical climbing elements that place them among the upper layers of the forest. The expansion builds on the existing West Zone, turning Rainforest Wild Adventure into a dual-zone destination.
One of the headline arrivals is the okapi, a rare forest-dwelling species native to Central Africa. Sometimes referred to as the forest giraffe, the animal will make its Southeast Asia debut as part of the East Zone. Its arrival adds a major wildlife draw to the attraction, while reinforcing Mandai’s focus on conservation and species education.

The expansion also introduces new wildlife viewing and interaction points. These include the Primate Climb, where visitors can observe species such as the Diana monkey from elevated vantage points. The design aims to bring guests closer to the animals while maintaining natural behaviour, habitat design and welfare standards.
Beyond the wildlife trails, Rainforest Wild Adventure will also welcome new National Geographic pop-up stores across the East and West zones. The retail spaces will offer outdoor-inspired apparel, travel gear and branded merchandise aligned with the attraction’s adventure-led identity.

Tickets for Rainforest Wild Adventure start from S$50. With the opening of the East Zone, Mandai Wildlife Reserve continues to strengthen Singapore’s reputation for immersive wildlife attractions, joining the wider Mandai precinct, which includes the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders and Bird Paradise.
