Day6’s multi-faceted lyricist and lead performer Young K has announced his Singapore concert date ahead of his YOUNGEST album release.
With the launch date for his much-anticipated second full-length album YOUNGEST looming near, K-pop singer-songwriter Young K has announced his Singapore concert date for his Asia tour in January. Beginning this August in Incheon, the Day6 frontman will also be making stops in Bangkok, Taipei, Hong Kong, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur.
The Young K YOUNGEST solo tour will be held at The Star Theatre in Singapore on 23 January 2027, while the album will be released later this month on 27 July.
The award-winning musician, credited for his songwriting prowess with Day6’s discography, had earlier teased the track list for YOUNGEST by releasing samples of his latest songs online. Featuring a mix of soulful ballads and rock-inspired anthems, with tracks such as Marionette and Drivin’ Into Hell, Young K’s latest work is an exploration of his versatility with the art of sound.
In addition to the teaser, Young K and JYP Entertainment have released a short silent film, where the singer described the album with the cryptic statement: “YOUNGEST. It’s kind of a Journey I’ve been on…” The film, depicting the musician as a talk show guest, takes on a mysterious theme with symbolic scenes of the opening and closing of doors, and an unseen figure breathing colour into his environs.
Since his debut in 2015 with Day6, Young K is amongst the most prolific, record-breaking songwriters in K-pop history, having amassed over 200 copyright-registered songs for the band and various other artists. This includes his contributions in performing and composing tracks in Japanese, Tagalog, and Thai. Beyond music, Young K is also celebrated for his talents as a radio host, acknowledged with his Radio DJ of the Year accolade at the 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards for his work with the radio show Kiss The Radio.
