This is summer at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental at a glance

Partner Content: The recently inaugurated Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental property has something for everyone in the capital.

Earlier this year, FACT checked into one of the world’s most opulent addresses, a destination originally designed to host the likes of royalty, celebrities and heads of state. Yes, Emirates Palace’s recent conversion to a Mandarin Oriental property officially calls for a staycation in Abu Dhabi, and now’s the time to do so.

The luxurious resort knows that extreme elevations in temperatures translate to quality time spent indoors with friends and family — accompanied by unparalleled luxury, of course. On offer are specially curated experiences catering to kids, wellness seekers, sporty types, gastronomes and more. Here, we reveal five reasons to while away the long summer days at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental.

Family Matters

A day out with your family awaits at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental thanks to the Fun Family Day Pass. Available from 15 June to 31 August, this day pass can be enhanced with the following add-ons

Culinary Highlights

For only AED 195 per person, you can feast your way through the specially curated lunch menus at Talea by Antonio Guida (contemporary Italian), Martabaan (Indian fine dining), Lebanese Terrace (opulent Middle Eastern cuisine), and Episodes Deli (home to unique culinary experiences) from 15 June to 31 August. UAE residents can also choose to take advantage of the exclusive breakfast at Vendôme from 7am to 11am, or treat themselves to the ladies’ afternoon tea at Episodes Tea Apothecary from 2pm to 6pm.

Elsewhere, Chef Sahar Al Awadhi will be creating a selection of handcrafted desserts for The Mandarin Cake Shop as well as an afternoon tea experience at Episodes. Having cooked with the likes of Pierre Gaigner, Niko Romito, Frederic Bau and Himanshu Saini., Chef Sahar was named Best Pastry Chef at the inaugural Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards.

Sporting Spirit

Taking this slower season to shift your focus towards wellness? Immerse yourself in a world-class selection of water and land sports at the Palace from 15 June to 31 August. Aquaphiles can choose from zorbing, kayaking, flyboarding, wake surfing, jet skiing and more, while those who prefer land sports can participate in padel, tennis, and football in a temperature-controlled environment throughout the season. Elsewhere, expert coaches will be at hand for private coaching sessions in case you’re looking to learn a new sport or improve your skills — and all fitness levels are welcome. Equipment is also available for rent.
