Riyadh’s UFC Fight Night has been postponed until June

Fight fans in Riyadh, mark your calendars because a thrilling night is coming to the capital that’s bound to pack a punch. As part of Riyadh Season, you’re about to witness the clash of titans in the world of mixed martial arts. That’s right. UFC is bringing you an unforgettable UFC Fight Night to the capital. Originally scheduled for Saturday, 2 March, the event has now been postponed to Saturday, 22 June. The reason for the date change is simple, to ensure “the best calibre of talent will be available to participate”. 

The news was confirmed on the Instagram account of Turki AlAlShikh, the chairman of the General Authority of Entertainment (GEA) and head of Riyadh Season. 

The UFC, or Ultimate Fighting Championship, is the heavyweight champion of MMA. They host more than 40 live events each year in some of the most prestigious arenas around the world. UFC’s lineup boasts the world’s best MMA athletes, representing over 80 countries, making it a force to be reckoned with. You’ll have to keep your eyes peeled as Dana White, the CEO of UFC, will be unveiling the star-studded lineup very soon. 

As for Riyadh Season, it’s now in its fourth edition. It’s a haven for all things entertainment, attracting visitors from across the globe to Saudi Arabia’s capital. Picture concerts, exhibitions, jaw-dropping performances, and appearances by renowned celebrities.

The epic opening ceremony for this year’s Riyadh Season will bring forth a historic boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. And now, with UFC Fight Night joining the roster, it’s safe to say that Riyadh Season is becoming the ultimate playground for sports and entertainment lovers.
