Asia Cup 2022: Tickets are now on sale for matches in the UAE

Superstar cricket teams include India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

If you know your innings from your googly, then this one’s for you. Cricket fans will be pleased to hear that Asia Cup 2022, which was originally going to be held in Sri Lanka, is now coming to the UAE. The sporting event will be held from 27 August to 11 September and tickets are now on sale.

Once the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced that the Asia Cup 2022 will be shifting to the UAE, fans have been desperate to get hold of tickets. Asia Cup 2022 offers you the chance to see some of the world’s greatest cricket teams right here in the UAE. 

Asia Cup 2022’s highlights include Sri Lanka Vs. Afghanistan on 27 August in Dubai, India Vs. Pakistan on 28 August in Dubai, Bangladesh Vs. Afghanistan on 30 August in Sharjah, and Sri Lanka Vs. Bangladesh on 1 September in Dubai. Plus, the much-anticipated final takes place on 11 September.

UAE, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong are set to play in the qualifying round. The winners then go on to join India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the main tournament.

The first Asia Cup was held in Sharjah all the way back in 1984. Since then, the tournament has been held across Asia in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. India has won the cup a grand total of seven times, Sri Lanka has won five times and Pakistan has won twice. Plus, Bangladesh have been runners-up twice.

Tickets for the first batch of matches can be booked on Platinumlist. Prices start from AED 75 for general matches and AED 250 for India Vs. Pakistan. If you are buying group tickets, then you must contact the stadium directly. All of the matches start at 6pm.
