Dubai World Cup will be held on 30 March 2024

The horse racing season began on 10 November.

On your marks, get set, race. We are excited as Dubai Racing Club has announced the dates for the 2023-24 season, which will take place at Meydan Racecourse and culminate with the Dubai World Cup on 30 March 2024. 

The Dubai World Cup will attract trainers and jockeys from all over the world. During the event, there are plenty of opportunities to watch the horses in action, as there will be 14 meetings running from 10 November 2023 to 8 March 2024, preceeding the $30.5million Dubai World Cup meeting on 30 March.

As one of the most prestigious horse racing tournaments in the world, the Dubai World Cup was launched by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in 1996, and continues to be one of the most exciting events in the UAE’s sporting calendar and includes $12 million at stake in the title contest. 

Major General Dr Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, Executive Director of Dubai Racing Club, commented: “We are delighted to unveil the full programme for our exciting new-look season here in Dubai. The programme is diverse and caters for a wide range of horses, both Purebred Arabian and Thoroughbred. We hope that our excellent prize money and world-class facilities will continue to attract the best in the sport to race here in Dubai.”
