Apple is making a bid for a permanent place on your kitchen counter. The tech giant has introduced Apple HomeView, a smart display that combines entertainment, video calls and connected home controls. Powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI, the device is designed for everyone in the household, with a personalised experience for up to six people.
The tabletop model pairs a 7-inch Liquid Retina display with a domed aluminium speaker base. A stainless steel hinge allows you to adjust the screen, whether you are following a recipe at the counter or taking a call from the sofa. It comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space grey, with matching cables. A separate wall-mounted version is available in silver and space grey.
HomeView can play music, display photographs and handle hands-free FaceTime calls, while voice commands help manage compatible smart home accessories and automations. The appeal is having those everyday tasks in one place, whether that means choosing a soundtrack for dinner or checking in with family while you cook.
Personalisation is key. HomeView recognises household members and presents each person with their own Home Screen, apps and widgets. Shared photo albums and music remain available for everyone to enjoy, while individual content is kept separate.

Apple says users can access personal information when HomeView recognises their face and their paired iPhone or iPad is on the same Wi-Fi network and has been recently unlocked. That adds a layer of control to a screen intended for shared spaces.
Siri AI also takes a more conversational approach, allowing users to ask questions and follow up naturally. Alongside broader world knowledge, it can draw on personal context from a paired device to help find relevant information. Apple lists English as the initial supported language.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said: “Apple HomeView is designed to be shared by everyone in the home yet feel completely personal to each user. It recognises your face to shift from a household screen to your own experience, fills the room with incredible sound, keeps you connected to the people who matter most with FaceTime, and makes it easy to control your smart home. And it’s powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI at its core, drawing on personal context from your iPhone to help you find what you need and get more done, all while keeping everyone’s information private and secure.”
Pre-orders start today, with availability beginning 13 November 2026.
