6 things to do at Umm Al Emarat Park this Ramadan

As the season that’s known for bringing to life community spirit and togetherness, Ramadan is also a time for introspection, spiritual reflection, and abstinence. In essence, it is a month that allows us to bring out the best version of ourselves by investing in our mind, body and soul. Here are 6 ways you can do just that at Umm Al Emarat Park.

Feel The Ramadan Spirit:

Witness the daily cannon firing at the Park’s entrance, and head down to the Children’s Garden every Monday after Iftar to enjoy hakawaty storytelling sessions by Bait Arabi and instrumental musical sessions by Sherine Tohamy, Eman Al Hashimi, Maan Hamadeh, and Patrizia Masutti.

Centre Yourself Through Mindful Walking:

The Green Jogging track is the perfect location to go for a mindful walk – especially before Iftar. Surrounded by greenery, take the time to soak in nature and be mindful of the earth beneath your feet, the air flowing in and out of your lungs, the sights, sounds, and smells you experience as you walk. Establish a deeper connection between your mind and body. Spending time in nature also opens us up to the wonder we’re surrounded with and allows us to appreciate and be grateful for our place in the world.
