Brunch on unconventional Japanese street food

Recently awarded the MICHELIN Guide Bib Gourmand, Reif Japanese Kushiyaki has launched its new “Buranchi” set menu. Chef Reif Othmans’s expansive brunch menu offers unlimited dishes of sashimi, nigiri, maki, gyoza, chicken kushi skewers and salads. Buranchi also features several original items not available on the a la carte menu, such as the braised Angus beef clay pot rice and ebi katsu sando, whilst the nasi lemak with fried chicken or fish and the omurice make a comeback. Brunch culminates with an Instagrmmable dessert platter. Available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 12pm to 5pm. AED 238 per person.

Tuck into a new tasting menu

Netsu by Ross Shonhan at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, has introduced its ‘This is Netsu’ tasting menu for the summer. The Warayaki-style Japanese steakhouse – the first of its kind in Dubai and the largest outside of Japan – has curated a four-course menu of signature dishes, such as salmon and avocado shiso tacos, spicy wagyu hot stone rice, Korean fried chicken and mango kakigori mochi, This is Netsu is available Monday to Thursday until 31 August, from 6:30pm to 11:30pm.
