Aya in Dubai: An immersive entertainment park opens in Wafi City Mall

Opening this December, it combines art and technology for a one-of-a-kind experience.

If you thought Avatar was impressive, then get ready to be wowed by a new digital experience. Aya, an immersive, experiential entertainment park, is opening in Wafi City Mall. Combining art with state-of-the-art technology, it features 12 zones spread across 40,000 square feet. Scheduled to open from 17 December, here’s what to expect from the exciting experience.

HyperSpace, a Future Forward Entertainment company, specialise in creating physical parks for a digital world. Visitors can enjoy different experiences, each with its own unique theme and interactive elements. Experiences include observatories packed with a million stars, gardens of blooming light, and a river of colour that generates storms and pools.

Alexander Heller, CEO of Hyperspace, explained: “We chose Dubai as the destination for Aya, our first immersive entertainment park – as it is a city invested in future-culture, with a demanding and digitally active tourist and resident market. Aya has been designed to evoke wonder and awe in an out-of-this-world trip to a beautiful universe that will light up social media feeds everywhere.

He added: “This next generation experience combines entertainment and interactive technology to deliver immersive storytelling in an entirely new way – a first for Dubai and for the world. We look forward to welcoming visitors to experience the Aya universe when we open at Wafi City this month.” Plus, HyperSpace aims to create more parks in the UAE and other cities across the world.

Aya’s highlights include Aurora, a 230 square foot interactive artwork. The zone includes projections of pools, waves of light and a rainbow of colours. The Source, a 3,250 square foot zone, includes a touch dome, which uses the latest reactive technology.

Drift, a 2,000 square foot zone, brings to life a lush hillside through music and a panoramic projection. Outland is set across three chapters, and introduces guests to new characters and avatars. Plus, the experience culminates with Harmonia, a three-minute-long finale, which creates a robotic light show in a mirrored zone.

Aya is located on level one in Wafi City Mall. Tickets are available now, and start from AED 99.
