Watch the Expo 2020 Dubai Opening Ceremony
Utilising the largest immersive sound installation in the world and the world’s largest blended video projection installation, an incredible roster of international, regional, and home-grown talent will perform at Expo 2020’s Opening Ceremony in Al Wasl Plaza. Spectators will enjoy a display of stunning visuals, music and performances, as some of the world’s most creative minds, internationally renowned artists and emerging talents come together in a dazzling, ground-breaking performance that will be shared with audiences worldwide. Among those slated to perform are world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli and Platinum-selling British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding. Try the new Friday brunch at Nobu Dubai, Atlantis The Palm
Nobu’s brand-new Friday brunch celebrates the signature dishes that have earned their place on the menu at Nobu restaurants worldwide. The brunch begins with an unlimited selection of starters, including the signature yellowtail jalapeño, salmon new style, truffle edamame, black cod croquettes and sushi. Brunch-goers can then choose from one of seven Nobu mains, including the Wagyu ribeye flambe, beef and foie gras gyoza, lobster shiso salsa and the signature black cod miso. Tuck into a weekend roast at McCafferty’s, Circle Mall JVC
Traditional Irish pub McCafferty’s is now open on the rooftop of Circle Mall, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and an extensive beverage menu. A weekend roast is also available, serving pepper-crusted rib of beef or Impossible vegan meatloaf, alongside a house beverage. Friday to Sunday, from 12pm to 10pm. AED 120 per person.

Support Breast Cancer Awareness month at Il Borro Tuscan Bistro, Jumeirah Al Naseem
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Orange Hospitality has partnered with Al Jalila Foundation and Brest Friends to raise awareness and aid local breast cancer research. For October, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro will be offering a special Pink Menu. Promising an exquisite pink affair, dishes include carpaccio di rape rosse (beetroot carpaccio with goat cheese and pistachios), risotto alla barbabietola e burrata (beetroot risotto with burrata cream and candied beetroot) and a stunning dessert, mousse al cioccolato bianco e sorbetto al lampone (white chocolate mousse and raspberry sorbet). A portion of the proceeds will go to Al Jalila Foundation’s breast cancer campaign. Available daily until 31 October.
