Challenge yourself at Nakheel Mall’s Game Over Escape Rooms

The entertainment space includes VR Escape Rooms and old-school board games.

Game on, people. Nakheel Mall on Palm Jumeirah is launching a new entertainment experience, Game Over Escape Rooms and Board Room Café. So, whether you like state-of-the-art VR experiences or old-school board games, there’s something to suit your gaming needs.

Nakheel Mall’s entertainment space spans a whopping 11,000 square feet. Inside, you will find 12 standard-style escape rooms and 11 VR escape rooms. So, get ready to jump into an escape room, which will transport you into alternative universes.

The escape room experiences are inspired by classic stories including 1001 NightsAlice in Wonderland and various Agatha Christie novels – a ride on the Orient-Express, anyone? These worlds come alive with the help of cutting-edge technology, and on your journey, you’ll be asked to solve riddles and puzzles aplenty.

Game Over Escape Rooms and Board Room Café is great for a family day out, birthday parties and even team-building events. If you’re less into technology and more about classic board games, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Board Room Café has more than 50 games.

Game Over Escape Rooms and Board Game Café can already be found across the world in Rome, Liverpool and Jeddah. The Dubai outpost is located on the second floor of Nakheel Mall. Plus, if you’re looking to make a day out of the experience, then make time to visit the mall’s Depachika Food Hall or the MICHELIN-starred Trésind Studio.

Game Over Escape Rooms and Board Game Café visitors must be aged eight years old or over, and groups of up to seven can enjoy the escape rooms. Prices start at AED 140 per person and guests must book in advance.

Let the games begin.

A sucker for a good story, if you invite Kohinoor to a gallery, comedy night, new restaurant, hiking trip, cycle ride, pool day or just about any activity, preferably with the promise of wine, she’ll probably say yes – that is if she isn’t busy planning her next adventure.
