Immerse yourself in the UAE’s cultural heritage at Al Seef on the banks of Dubai’s historic creek. Echoing the architecture and ambience of the nation’s rich history, this Creekside destination is pulling out all the stops with Arabian hospitality, parades, live shows, kids workshops and – of course – fireworks. Fireworks will light up the sky over Bluewaters Dubai this National Day, but the island’s entertainment programme also includes henna, falconry and Ayala dances to celebrate the traditions of the UAE’s forefathers. Friday 2 December. Fireworks at 8pm.
Dubai Festival City Mall
Commemorating 51 glorious years of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai Festival City Mall is setting the scene for major celebrations. Visitors can expect marching drumming bands, Al Ayala dancers and enjoy a cup of warm Emirati coffee for free. Emirati singer Fayez Al Saeed will take the stage to perform a 60-minute set with the IMAGINE show creating a spectacular backdrop of lasers, lights, and fountains. Plus, this year’s National Day fireworks show will last a staggering four minutes and 30 seconds. Available 1 to 5 December.

The 1.7km promenade at Jumeirah Beach Residence is gearing up for a dynamic fireworks display and live entertainment this weekend. Expect henna, handicrafts, falconry, and live folk bands for a cultural touch. Friday 2 December. Fireworks at 8pm.
In celebration of UAE National Day, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi will host a series of live entertainment and events. The celebrations will include an Ayallah performance across all Yas Island destinations including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi as well as CLYMB Abu Dhabi to mark the country’s 51st anniversary. In honour of National Day, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will feature a large UAE Flag for visitors to use as a background for photo opportunities, while Yas Waterworld is inviting guests to enjoy an interactive journey to learn more about the Emirati culture with a number of activities and live entertainment, including falcon handlers, oud players and rababh performers, as well as henna & face painting.
