MDLBeast music festival arrives at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Catch international and local DJs at Doha’s Al Wakrah.

MDLBeast, the Saudi-born music festival, is aiming to score a hat-trick. The musical extravaganza held two hit concerts in Riyadh and is planning a third in Doha for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is more than just a game. Sure, it’s about supporters and scores, but there are plenty of cultural events taking place in extra time. Shuffle forward, MDLBeast.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is taking place from 20 November to 18 December, although the exact dates for MDLBeast have not yet been announced. The music festival will be held in Al Wakrah and is expected to attract 5,000 visitors. If the sheer scale and impressive line-up of the previous festivals are anything to go by, then this is an event that you will not want to miss.

MDLBeast Soundstorm launched in 2019 and returned in 2021. Some of the biggest DJs in the music industry have performed at the music festival. In previous years, international names included Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz, and local names included Biirdperson, Cosmicat and Spaceboi.

Music fans will be thrilled to hear that Arcadia Spectacular, a dance music festival, will also be held in Doha during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Taking place near Ras Bu Fontas, it is expected to attract 15,000 visitors.

Footie fans can also enjoy cultural activities throughout the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The Corniche will be transformed with a six-kilometre-long stretch of pop-up food and drink stalls, street performers and markets.

Plus, if you need an encore, the dates for MDLBeast Soundstorm 2022 in Riyadh have been announced. There’ll be concerts galore from 1 to 3 December, and XP Music Futures (a music conference) takes place from 28 to 30 November.

MDLBeast shoots and it scores.
