Formula 1 has confirmed that Abu Dhabi will host the 2026 Grand Prix season finale at Yas Marina Circuit.
With the final stretch of 2026 approaching, Abu Dhabi is officially back in the spotlight. F1 has confirmed that the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will proceed as planned at Yas Marina Circuit from 3 to 6 December 2026, with the capital once again set to host the season finale.
Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali has confirmed that the championship will conclude as planned with the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, giving fans the green light to start making their race-weekend plans. The confirmation comes after months of uncertainty around Formula 1’s Middle East schedule.
Earlier this year, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix were moved from their original April slots due to concerns about the wider regional security situation. Bahrain’s postponed race was subsequently rescheduled for October at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit, helping reshape the 2026 F1 calendar.
Questions remained, however, over whether the final races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi could go ahead as planned. Formula 1 had previously considered alternative European venues if the regional situation prevented the races from taking place. That uncertainty has now eased for Abu Dhabi, with Yas Marina Circuit confirmed as the venue for the 2026 F1 season finale.
Abu Dhabi has become synonymous with the final chapter of the Formula 1 season. Since the Yas Marina Circuit joined the calendar in 2009, the event has grown into one of the sport’s biggest destination weekends, combining racing with concerts, nightlife and a full program of entertainment across Yas Island. Some of the names heading to the capital include Zara Larsson, Lewis Capaldi and Imagine Dragons, with more to be announced soon.
