Abu Dhabi’s cultural calendar is gearing up for one of its biggest heritage events. The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, better known as ADIHEX, will return to ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 28 August to 6 September 2026. Now in its 23rd edition, the event will run for ten days for the first time in its history.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, ADIHEX 2026 takes place under the theme “A Legacy of Pride”.The exhibition brings together Emirati traditions and contemporary approaches to hunting, outdoor pursuits and conservation.

The scale of ADIHEX has grown considerably since its launch in 2003. Last year’s edition welcomed more than 379,000 visitors alongside 2,068 exhibitors and brands from 68 countries. For 2026, visitors can explore 15 specialist sectors spanning falconry, equestrianism, camels, Arabian salukis, fishing and marine sports, arts and crafts, camping equipment, hunting tourism, caravans and environmental conservation.
One of the biggest attractions will once again be the falcon auctions. Eight auctions form part of this year’s programme, with four taking place before the exhibition and four during the event. Falcons can be viewed before bidding, complete with biodata, while online participation makes the auctions accessible beyond Abu Dhabi.

There is plenty beyond the exhibition stands. The Live Arena will host equestrian demonstrations, falconry displays inspired by traditional hunting, Arabian saluki activities and other cultural performances. Elsewhere, visitors can try shooting simulations and archery, visit the Young Falconers & Desert Life Village, take part in creative workshops and discover Emirati customs through interactive family activities.
What makes ADIHEX particularly appealing is its ability to turn heritage into something visitors can actively experience. Falconry, horsemanship and desert traditions are presented alongside new equipment and technology, while conservation and sustainable hunting remain part of the wider conversation. It is this meeting of culture, commerce and community that has helped ADIHEX develop into one of Abu Dhabi’s most significant annual events.
