Partner Content: Settle in for waterfront dining, sunset cocktails and live music on the shores of Saadiyat Island.
Beachfront dining, sunset cocktails and a soundtrack worth staying for. Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi has all the ingredients for an elongated evening beside the sea. Located at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, the venue pairs its picturesque waterfront address with Pacific Rim cuisine and entertainment that carries the mood from afternoon into night.
Since its Paris debut in 1996, Buddha-Bar has treated music as an essential part of the dining experience. Its lounge and chill-out compilations have carried that identity around the world, establishing a brand as much associated with its soundtrack as its Asian-influenced cuisine. Three decades on, the Abu Dhabi venue gives that legacy a coastal setting.

The terrace is the place to settle in as the light softens. Overlooking Saadiyat Island’s sandy shoreline and the Arabian Gulf, it offers a scenic spot for catching up with friends over sundowners and bites. Step inside, and you’re greeted by boho-chic interiors, plush seating, wooden accents, and ambient lighting that evolves as the day unfolds.
Japanese-Peruvian anchors the marvellous menu. Start with truffle chicken gyoza or Wagyu maki, then move on to citrus miso salmon served with mango and pomelo salsa, while sushi, sashimi and signature dishes from the robata grill add variety.

Signature cocktail creations are one of the many reasons to linger. For a golden-hour gathering, Shinka Sunset runs daily from 5pm to 7pm with selected highball cocktails and wines at AED 45 each, 20 per cent off the bar bites menu. Let the sweet tunes of the saxophonist sway you as you soak in the sunset, followed by DJ beats.
Saturday evenings shift into a livelier gear. From 9pm onwards, guest DJs are joined by a live percussionist and fire dancers, giving dinner an extra dose of theatre.
