Abu Dhabi has a thriving café scene, but that doesn’t mean there’s no appetite for more. Enter bkry, the Dubai bakery that has built a loyal following for its pretty pastries and dependable coffee. The FACT Award-winner will open an outpost in the capital, setting up at The Arcades – a new lifestyle destination within Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club – this October.
For anyone who has visited the Dubai original, the appeal is familiar. bkry has made a name for itself with artisanal pastries and carefully crafted baked goods that look as good as they taste, alongside coffee and a solid selection of non-alcoholic beverages. The menu is designed for repeat visits, whether you are dropping by for a quick caffeine fix or settling in for something more substantial.
The new Abu Dhabi outpost will also introduce a dedicated Grab & Go concept designed specifically for the location, offering ready-to-eat dishes, fresh produce and a selection of retail products for customers on the move. The Grab & Go selection spans breakfast, wraps and sandwiches. Options include a Granola Yoghurt Bowl, a Beef Bulgogi Wrap and a Halloumi Sandwich.
The space follows bkry’s understated aesthetic, pairing warm timber with exposed concrete, terrazzo finishes and olive-toned seating. Communal tables, a marble-topped coffee bar and an open bakery counter will put the pastry-making process at the centre of the experience.
Several dishes will also make their debut exclusively in Abu Dhabi. From the bakery, highlights include a Coconut Croissant and Chocolate Peanut Caramel Babka, while the savoury menu features a Korean Chicken Sando and a Beetroot & Orange Salad.
bkry’s rise has been fuelled by viral moments. The bakery’s Korean Tissue Bread became a talking point across the UAE, garnering significant attention. In 2025, bkry received a FACT Award for Best Café in Dubai, cementing its status as one of the region’s standout spots for baked goods and coffee.
