Chef Izu brings a restaurant, deli and at-home dining to Sama Yas 

The Abu Dhabi community will be home to 234 homes. 

Chef Izu has been wowing the world with his restaurants. Now, he is expanding his culinary concepts with a new restaurant in Sama Yas, Abu Dhabi. Located on Yas Island, the restaurant is in a new residential community and the food will be available in the villas. The development and restaurant is scheduled to open in 2027.

Aldar Properties has announced the launch of Sama Yas, which is a boutique residential community. The project aims to offer a holistic approach to wellbeing, and combines a luxurious lifestyle with nature. 

Chef Izu will offer residents an exclusive dining experience, which includes a restaurant and deli in the community, and a fine dining menu that can be enjoyed at home. The UAE-based chef is behind the recently opened Gaia Mayfair in London, Gaia Monte Carlo in Monaco, IZU at Mandarin Oriental in Doha. Plus, Dubai’s Alaya, Kai Enzo, Scalini and Shanghai Me.

Chef Izu explained: “This collaboration is truly a meeting of minds, an ongoing discussion of how we can build a kitchen that caters for every moment in life. The flow of energy from the kitchen to the dining space, enhancing every occasion with friends, family and loved ones. I wanted to challenge myself and bring everything I have learned from our restaurants to the home, and I am so excited to see it come to life.”

Sama Yas features 234 homes with parkland surrounds. The development will feature a spa, retail spaces, concierge and lounge. Plus, a gym, community gardens, cycling routes, jogging tracks, outdoor working pods, a library and a co-working space.
