The Picasso of Pastry is famous for his groundbreaking creations.
Something is brewing in the UAE. Known for its coffee and cake, Pierre Hermé Patisserie is expanding to Abu Dhabi. Located in Rosewood Abu Dhabi, Pierré Herme Patisserie will mark the brand’s debut in the UAE. Opening in October, this boutique bakery promises a sweet escape, offering a taste of Parisian elegance in the capital.
Majlis by Pierre Hermé embodies Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s Sense of Place philosophy. It features warm tones and a contemporary tent-inspired design that echoes Bedouin hospitality. Situated in the main lobby, the space celebrates the desert’s heritage of generous hospitality.
The Pierre Hermé Patisserie in Abu Dhabi is backed by Chef Pierre Hermé himself. Popularly known as the “Picasso of Pastry”, the chef is celebrated for his out-of-the-box approach to dessert-making. He’s also earned global acclaim, such as “Best Pastry Chef in the World” and the title of Chevalier of Arts and Letters, making his patisserie in Abu Dhabi a must-visit.
As for the menu, expect iconic macarons, including the Mogador, a tempting blend of passion fruit and milk chocolate ganache, and the signature Ispahan Macaron, infused with rose cream, lychee, and raspberries. Guests can also savour Ispahan Croissants and indulgent French toast options like Pain Perdu Ispahan.
The extensive menu caters to all-day dining, offering a range of exquisite pâtisseries and savoury dishes. Highlights include Pain au Chocolate & Pistachio, Avocado Toast with crab and raspberry, and the classic Croque-Monsieur with turkey ham, béchamel, and Comté cheese. For lunch, options like Sea Bream Ceviche and Cauliflower Velouté offer plenty of appeal. Majlis also features beautifully packaged confectionery, ideal for gifts.
A wide array of pastries showcases innovative flavour profiles and intricate presentation, such as the Jardin de l’Atlas Madeleines with lemon zest, orange blossom, and Maquis honey or the Tarte Infiniment Pistache D’Iran for pistachio lovers. The menu is paired with a coffee selection from Espresso Lab, offering everything from classic espressos to creative drinks like Chocolanza and Pistachio White.
Pierre Hermé expressed his excitement about his Abu Dhabi debut, saying, “I love that my creations can transport people into a world of flavours and pleasures. Rosewood Abu Dhabi, with its elegance and luxury, shares our commitment to exceptional experiences.”
Earlier this year, the Pierre Hermé Patisserie made its debut in Saudi Arabia at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre. Chef Pierre Herme was on the ground himself for the grand opening. And now, for the first time, it’s coming to the UAE to delight dessert lovers in Abu Dhabi.
Majlis by Pierre Hermé at Rosewood Abu Dhabi is open daily from 7am to 11pm.
