The UAE’s first premium burger boutique has launched in Abu Dhabi

SLAW and More is set to shake up the capital’s burger scene.

Dubai-born brand SLAW is nothing if not ambitious, launching two successful outposts in Dubai since 2021 and winning foodies over with its burgers, chicken sandos and limited-edition specials. Now, founder and chef Ali Yazdi has his sights on conquering the capital’s dining scene with the debut of SLAW and More, which opened its doors in Al Qana. The premium burger boutique promises to deliver more than just burgers, with a commitment to offer a unique and elevated dining experience.

Let’s start with the venue’s interior design. The walls are adorned with handmade ceramic tiles in refined shades of green, complemented by vibrant statement walls and a hand-painted mural of Yazdi himself. The decor is enhanced with concrete finishes, neon lighting, fluted leather banquettes, and vintage chairs, imbuing the space with urban charm. A dry-aged meat cabinet proudly displays high-grade cuts of premium Wagyu beef. Elsewhere, a state-of-the-art DJ booth is in place to set the soundtrack for a laidback night of gourmet burgers.

Guests can look forward to a deluxe menu of burgers, sandos, hot dogs, appetisers, sides and desserts created by Yazdi. Highlight mains include Canoe Marrow Burger (dry-aged Wagyu ribeye patty, American cheese, fermented cucumber, soy-glazed grilled bone marrow, spicy adobo aioli, seeded brioche bun), Truffle Burger (dry-aged Wagyu ribeye patty, mild-aged Gouda cheese, black truffle aioli, rocca leaves, fresh seasonal truffle, grated Parmigiano Reggiano, seeded brioche bun), Fish Sando (crispy beer-battered hammour fish fillet, fermented dill cucumber, yuzu caviar tartar sauce, seeded brioche bun), Maple Glazed Sando (crispy chicken breast, American cheese, berg lettuce, maple glazed sauce, fried fresh jalapenos, seeded brioche bun).

Other notable dishes include Curlimari (spiced crispy calamari served with yuzu tartar sauce, fresh jalapeno rings, grilled lemon wedge), Blooming Onion (crispy-bloomed onions served with homemade buttermilk ranch), Ultimate Skillet Cookie (skillet Valrhona chocolate mix cookies, premium vanilla ice cream, homemade Snix sauce). Limited-edition dishes will also be unveiled at the new Abu Dhabi outpost, including the Foie Gras Burger and Lobster Sando, both of which are set to launch later this year. The lively bar showcases the talented team concocting experimental mocktails such as the Smoked Apple (red apple, mint, lime, cinnamon-sugar, soda), Dirtycolada (pineapple, coconut, mint, lime, soda), and YuzuShiso (yuzu, passion fruit, shiso, soda).
