Chef Mariam Al Mansoori is behind the concept.
The UAE is home to marvellous modern restaurants that showcase a fusion of flavours and innovative concepts. Now, AMINA in Abu Dhabi aims to take you back in time, shining a spotlight on traditional dishes from the Emirates. Located in Abu Dhabi’s Reem Mall, here’s what to expect.
Named after Chef Mariam Al Mansoori’s mother, AMINA is a heartfelt tribute to both the woman and the dishes she lovingly created. The concept celebrates the deep-rooted traditions of Emirati cuisine and is dedicated to offering a traditional, soulful experience.
Each dish has been crafted using techniques passed down from generation to generation, with the aim of preserving the essence of Emirati cooking in its purest form. Diners are invited on a nostalgic journey through the UAE’s vibrant culinary heritage.
On Instagram, AMINA shared a video of the restaurant. The venue features red velvet curtains, high ceilings, and tall candles, adding a theatrical flair. With its golden touches, ornate paintings, patterned cushions, and plush seats, the space feels ready for a special occasion.
If you wish to take the taste of AMINA home, you’re in luck. A curated collection of gourmet Emirati products, including dates, honey, olive oil, and spices, will be available to purchase.
