The UAE’s comedy calendar has another date worth saving. Scottish stand-up star Kevin Bridges is returning to Abu Dhabi with his Here If You Need Me World Tour, taking over Etihad Arena on Saturday 9 January 2027. Part of Abu Dhabi Comedy Season, the performance will give fans the chance to start the year with an evening of observational humour and storytelling.
For Bridges, everyday life provides plenty of material. His ability to turn familiar situations into sharply observed comedy has helped him build a following that stretches well beyond his native Scotland. Whether you have followed his career from the early days or discovered him through clips online, the Abu Dhabi show offers an opportunity to see that approach play out on an arena stage.
Bridges began performing stand-up in 2004, shortly after turning 17. More than two decades later, his touring credits include Overdue Catch-Up, Brand New Tour and A Whole Different Story. Across his career, he has performed to more than two million fans, with 63 sold-out appearances at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro and SEC venues. According to the organisers, that is more than any other performer in those venues’ history.
His television appearances have also helped make him a familiar face to British comedy audiences. Alongside sets on Live at the Apollo and appearances on The Jonathan Ross Show, he fronted the BBC One series Kevin Bridges: What’s the Story? Away from television, he has released five chart-topping stand-up specials and written the Sunday Times bestselling autobiography We Need to Talk About… Kevin Bridges, as well as his debut novel, The Black Dog.
His international audience continues to grow. In 2025, Bridges made his North American touring debut, performing to more than 40,000 people and selling out shows at New York’s Beacon Theatre. His stand-up clips have also accumulated more than 100 million views across social media.
