Power Slap returns to Abu Dhabi on Friday, 23 October 2026 as part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week.
The headline bout will see Dayne “Da Hawaiian Hitman” Viernes defend his Super Heavyweight title against Dumpling.
Tickets are now on sale, with the week culminating in UFC 333 at Etihad Arena on 24 October 2026.
The world’s premier slap-fighting league, Power Slap, is set to make its return to Abu Dhabi this year.
Back by popular demand, Power Slap – the world’s premier slap-fighting league – is set to make its adrenaline-fuelled return to Abu Dhabi on Friday, 23 October. The event will take place at Space 42 Arena as part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, culminating in the highly-anticipated UFC 333.
The headline bout will see Dayne “Da Hawaiian Hitman” Viernes defend his Super Heavyweight title against Dumpling. The pair previously went head-to-head at Power Slap 13 in June 2025, when Viernes claimed the championship following a five-round contest that ended in a majority decision.
Since then, Viernes has successfully defended his title against number one-ranked Super Heavyweight Makini Manu. Dumpling, meanwhile, heads to Abu Dhabi following a knockout victory over David Zales at Power Slap 22 in Serbia. One of Power Slap’s most recognisable competitors, Dumpling was also among the fighters who first caught the attention of Power Slap founder Dana White.
“There is no bigger stage in combat sports than Abu Dhabi, and there is no bigger title match that we can bring to Abu Dhabi Showdown Week than the Super Heavyweight rematch between Da Hawaiian Hitman and Dumpling”, said Frank Lamicella, CEO of Power Slap.
The co-main event will feature a lightweight clash between former title challenger Dakota McGregor and third-ranked Reiley Montoya. Both fighters will be looking to strengthen their positions in the division and move closer to a potential championship opportunity against undefeated Lightweight champion Robert Trujillo.
Elsewhere on the card, undefeated British heavyweight Louis Robinson will face India’s Jujhar Singh, while Slovakia’s Peter Truchlik meets Estonia’s Merlis Muusikus in a middleweight showdown.
The event will form part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, which returns to Yas Island. The week is expected to bring together a mix of UFC-related activities, fan experiences and world-class MMA action, building up to the main event at Etihad Arena.
For those unversed in Power Slap, it’s an American slap-fighting competition that aired on American TV. The contestants would slap each other in the face. However, the show’s success led to it becoming a live event held in Las Vegas.
