Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi has announced two new Superman-themed attractions.
Kryptonite Collider opens on 26 July 2026 in the Metropolis zone.
Superman: Up and Away is scheduled to launch in 2028.
The Yas Island theme park is adding two Superman-themed rides, including Kryptonite Collider this July and Superman: Up and Away in 2028.
Warner Bros. World, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, is preparing to take guests further into the DC universe with the launch of two new Superman-themed attractions. The indoor theme park has announced Kryptonite Collider and Superman: Up and Away, adding more superhero action to its popular Metropolis zone.
The first attraction, Kryptonite Collider, will open on 26 July 2026. Located inside Metropolis, the ride places guests inside the world of Lex Luthor, Superman’s legendary rival. The experience is centred on Lex Luthor’s Everyman Project, inviting visitors to take part in his latest scientific experiment.
The story begins before guests even board the ride. The queue features infomercial-style broadcasts from LexCorp, recruiting visitors as “test subjects” for the company’s latest initiative. This narrative-driven approach helps set the tone for an immersive adventure filled with comic book drama and cinematic detail.
Once on board, the 32-person ride uses dynamic motion, lighting, sound effects, and visual technology to create a high-energy experience powered by the fictional force of kryptonite. The ride concludes with interactive digital displays that reveal each guest’s newly acquired “superhuman abilities”.
The second attraction, Superman: Up and Away, is scheduled to be completed in 2028. The next-generation flying roller coaster has been designed to recreate the sensation of soaring through Metropolis alongside the Man of Steel. Riders will be launched face-down on a high-speed mission, making it one of the park’s most ambitious upcoming attractions.
The new Superman rides are part of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi’s wider expansion plans. The park is also developing a Harry Potter-themed land, which is set to bring Hogwarts Castle and Diagon Alley together in one theme park experience.
For fans of DC superheroes, immersive storytelling and adrenaline-fuelled attractions, Warner Bros. World, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi continues to raise the bar for family entertainment in the UAE.
