Scheduled to open in December, Atelier Kū will combine a 45-seat restaurant with a cocktail bar and hi-fi sounds.

Despite the regional unrest earlier this year, the UAE’s dining scene has shown little appetite for slowing down. New restaurants and concepts continue to open across the city, and the latest name preparing to join the list is Atelier Kū in Dubai.

Opening in December 2026 on the 15th floor of Emirates Financial Towers, Atelier Kū is a new Dubai dining destination that brings haute cuisine, hi-fi sounds and cocktails together under one roof. The 45-seat restaurant, bar and adjoining Atelier have been designed as part of one single experience.

Atelier Kū Dubai

The name reflects the philosophy behind the concept. Atelier refers to a workshop centred on craftsmanship and creativity, while Kū draws on the Japanese concept of emptiness, space and potential. Taken together, the ideas place the guest at the centre of the experience.

Atelier Kū is divided into two distinct spaces, each with its own atmosphere. The first is bright, elegant and almost theatrical, with the 45-seat restaurant overlooking DIFC and Downtown Dubai through 180-degree views. High ceilings and a grand piano create a focal point, with live music adding another layer to the dining experience. Guests will be able to choose between a 12-course set menu or à la carte dining, while a dedicated Chef’s Table for up to four guests offers a more intimate experience centred around the kitchen.

On the other side of the concept, the mood shifts completely. The Hi-Fi bar is darker and more intimate, with leather, natural wood and low lighting creating the feel of a private penthouse. Designed to function as a destination in its own right, the bar will bring together cocktails, vinyl and high-fidelity sound in a more relaxed setting.

Leading the kitchen is Chef Artem Estafev, whose career includes training in Paris under Alain Ducasse. At Atelier Ku, his cooking will focus on familiar, high-quality ingredients reinterpreted through the restaurant’s own perspective.

The drinks program is being led by Andrey Bolshakov, creator of Insider Bar, which was ranked No. 13 on The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2021. Working alongside him is Executive Cocktail Designer Ilya Velikanov, who will be making 300 combinations in-house.

With its combination of haute cuisine, live piano, cocktails, vinyl, and high-fidelity audio, Atelier Kū is positioning itself somewhere between a restaurant, a cocktail bar and a cultural destination. If the concept delivers on its promise, it could offer something increasingly rare in Dubai.
