The Grammy-winning DJ returns to Dubai Harbour for the venue’s season opening party.
Dubai’s electronic music calendar has landed another major date. Black Coffee will return to Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience on Saturday, 24 October 2026, taking charge of the venue’s opening party for its third season.
The South African DJ has become closely associated with the Dubai Harbour venue, having played sold-out headline shows there in both 2024 and 2025. His previous performances drew crowds of more than 15,000 people, making his return one of the biggest announcements for the upcoming electronic music season.
Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, was championing Afro house long before the genre became one of the dominant sounds on international dancefloors. His style blends deep house with soul, jazz, traditional African rhythms and percussion, creating a sound that has helped take African electronic music to audiences around the world.
His collaborations include some of the biggest names in music, with Alicia Keys, Drake, Pharrell Williams, Usher and David Guetta among the artists he has worked with.
The DJ’s list of achievements continues to grow. In 2022, he became the first South African artist to win a Grammy Award, taking home Best Dance/Electronic Album for Subconsciously. In May 2026, he reached another career milestone when he became the first DJ from Africa to sell out The O2 Arena in London. The 20,000-capacity show featured a symphonic-inspired production and a special guest appearance from Alicia Keys.
Black Coffee has also become an Ibiza institution through his long-running residency at Hï Ibiza. His ability to move between intimate, soulful house music and large-scale arena performances has established him as one of electronic music’s most recognisable global artists.
His Dubai show will also introduce an all-new visual production, designed to complement his signature sound and the open-air setting at Dubai Harbour.
