Asake in Dubai: Catch the Nigerian singer at the amazing Afroworld

Afroworld is back. Now in its third edition, the music event showcases the biggest artists in the Afrobeats scene. The concert takes place on April 29 at the Coca-Cola Arena Dubai, and the Nigerian singer Asake will be headlining the event.
Asake, real name Ahmed Ololade, hails from Lagos, Nigeria. His stage name was inspired by his mum’s first name. He has been releasing music since 2018, and became one of the biggest breakout stars in 2022. The remix of Mr Money notched up millions of streams on various platforms, and gained him international recognition. Plus, he has released chart-topping singles including California, Don’t Hype Me and Yan Yan.
Asake’s debut album Mr Money with the Vibe was released in September 2022, and achieved critical and commercial success. The album is the highest charting Nigerian album in the United States charts, and debuted at number 22 in the UK charts. The album includes the songs Sungba, Peace Be Unto You and Terminator.
Asake has been nominated for awards ranging from Headies Award for Rookie of the Year to BBC Radio 1’s Sound of 2023. He is known for his high energy as well as eccentric shows. He has performed across the world, from the O2 Academy in Brixton to Atlanta – at the latter, he even bought a live goat onto the stage.
If you want to see Asake in Dubai, tickets are now on sale. Tickets start from AED 175 for bronze tickets, AED 230 for silver tickets, AED 275 for gold tickets, and AED 375 for golden circle tickets. Ticket holders must be aged 16 years or above, and those under the age limit must be accompanied by an adult.
