Celebrity favourite Emmy Squared Pizza opens in Dubai

The Brooklyn brand opens its first restaurant in the city.

Who said that pizzas have to be round? Emmy Squared Pizza has been switching things up in Abu Dhabi with its famous square-shaped pizzas. Now, it is opening its first restaurant in Dubai, and here’s what you can expect. 

Located in Jumeirah’s Beach Walk Hotel, Emmy Squared Pizza brings a touch of New York to Dubai. The venue is packed with personality and boasts blush pink walls with playful sketches. The space is great for groups, as there are long tables, red sofas, wall dividers and plenty of dishes to share.

Emmy Squared Pizza prides itself on creating wood-fired, Detroit-style pizzas, which are also known as pies. The menu includes starters, salads, sandwiches, burgers and desserts. Plus, the pizzas that are loved in Abu Dhabi have made their way to Dubai. 

The pizza menu includes Burrata Margherita with burrata and basil, Deluxe with sausage, pepper and mushrooms, The Classic with sauce and mozzarella, and Roni Supreme with Italian beef pepperoni and Calabrian chillies. Plus, there is a dedicated vegan pizza menu, which includes the Artie Bucco, Classic Vegan and Chili Cauliflower. 

It’s not just about pizzas. Le Big Matt is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, and has notched up accolades. The burger is made up of 150 grams of black Angus beef patty, American cheese, Sammy sauce, greens, pickles, and is served on a pretzel bun. 

Emmy Squared Pizza gets its name from its owner, Emily Hyland. In 2016, the restaurant opened its first location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The brand has expanded across the United States, and opened its first international location in Abu Dhabi. 

Emmy Squared Pizza in Dubai is open from noon to midnight. Go, think outside the box.
