Can Fix Dessert Chocolatier live up to the hype with its new bar?

It took one TikTok video to catapult the viral Dubai chocolate to global fame. Initially available only in the UAE, it has inspired knock-offs everywhere, from London to Tokyo. But there’s only one OG Dubai chocolate, and it’s made by Fix Dessert Chocolatier. Now, the brand is about to drop a brand-new flavour.

Fix Dessert Chocolatier is flipping the Friday the 13th superstition with a three-day pop-up at Mall of the Emirates, running until Sunday, 15 June, with a full reveal of the new flavour. Running from 10am until midnight, the event promises interactive games, competitions, exclusive merch, and plenty of surprises.

For the uninitiated, Fix Dessert Chocolatier rose to fame with its knafeh bar, a gooey, crunchy blend of pistachio and kunafa, all wrapped in silky chocolate and splattered with edible paint. Created by Sarah Hamouda, a British-Egyptian expat who invented the Dubai chocolate during her pregnancy in 2021, the concept evolved from a kitchen experiment to a UAE cult brand.

Today, Fix Dessert Chocolatier offers curated boxes, such as the six-piece signature set (AED 385) and the 10-piece mini version (AED 189), with playful names like Cereously Chewsy, Baklawa II the Future, and Mind Your Own Buiscoff. The upcoming mystery flavour will join this whimsical, indulgent lineup.

If you miss the Mall of the Emirates event, fear not. The new flavour will be available on Deliveroo starting Monday, 16 June, priced at AED 72.25, with limited daily drops at 2pm and 5pm. You can also get your hands on the viral bars at Dubai International Airport, located in Dubai Duty-Free, Terminal Three.

So set those alarms and get ready to indulge.
