The UAE’s first sea moss restaurant opens in Dubai Science Park

The Seamoss Company offers salads, sandwiches and smoothies. 

What do you know about sea moss? Well, the UAE’s first sea moss restaurant is opening, and it aims to educate you and get you eating healthier. Located in Science Park in Al Barsha South, The Seamoss Company imports its ingredients from Saint Lucia, so if you want to try sea moss in Dubai, here’s what you need to know.

The Seamoss Company in Dubai’s tagline is “You are what you eat”. The venue is easy to spot, thanks to its illuminated logo and it includes a drawing of sea moss in lights. On the outside of the venue, it declares that the restaurant specialises in salads and sandwiches. The space boasts a clean, contemporary and casual vibe, and lots of light due to the floor to ceiling windows.

The Seamoss Company in Dubai’s menu also includes the signature Beef Burger, which is made with premium beef and packed with protein, and a freshly prepared selection of sushi. Plus, the drinks include daily brewed coffees, healthy smoothies and antioxidant-boosting beverages – a Beetroot Latte, anyone? 

Saint Lucia is home to high-quality sea moss, which has an absence of heavy metals like lead or mercury. For the uninitiated, sea moss is essentially a type of algae or seaweed, and it is similar to leafy vegetables. Sea moss has multiple health benefits and is full of antioxidants. The ingredient is often used in vitamins and supplements. 

The benefits of eating sea moss include healthier blood sugar levels, fertility and gut health. Plus, it can help support for the immune system, thyroid and weight loss.

The UAE’s first Saint Lucian sea moss-infused food destination is open daily from 10am to 11pm.
