The menu showcases Mediterranean cuisine.
Dubai is home to concepts from around the world. Now, it has welcomed Egypt’s Villa Coconut. Located in Gate Avenue, DIFC, this marks the first time the brand has expanded overseas. The restaurant is in its soft opening phase, and here’s what to expect.
TLT Concepts, the Egyptian lifestyle and hospitality company, is behind a range of concepts. Villa Coconut originally launched in the coastal town of El Gouna, Egypt. The beachside destination made a name for itself for its cuisine, charm and cool vibes. It had a bright and breezy aesthetic with white sofas, cushions and tables.
Now, TLT Concepts is making its mark with its first venture into the UAE. The new restaurant, Villa Coconut Dubai, showcases Mediterranean cuisine with a side of entertainment. The team pride themselves on their high standards, using high-quality ingredients, and creating dishes with a beautiful presentation. While the restaurant will feature many beloved classics, it will also introduce new dishes exclusive to the DIFC location.
Chef Mina Beshay explained: “We always have to move in certain directions. We all complement each other, and we are all in the same frame. There are a lot of behind-the-scenes efforts that go into creating a dish. We are always trying while working, and thinking about how to enhance the flavour of our dishes or highlight their unique character”.
Tucked away behind closed doors at Villa Coconut in Dubai, The Lava Room is a hidden speakeasy catering to just 30 to 40 guests. With its moody ambience and air of intrigue, it offers a more exclusive escape.
In 2024, TLT Concepts marked its first international expansion with the opening of The Lemon Tree and Co. in Greece. Now, it is aiming for the same success as it expands into the Middle East.
