Located in Al Jada, the venue includes bites and beverages from Seoul.
Get ready for a touch of South Korea in the UAE. Jae’s Bunsik is bringing the bites and beverages of Seoul to Al Jada, Sharjah. If you’d like to enjoy the classic taste of the country, here’s what you need to know.
In South Korea, bunsik means food made with flour and also refers to a convenient, often simple, meal you can order.
Jae’s Bunsik boasts a sleek, contemporary and clean vibe. The venue boasts a minimalist, muted design with grey and white walls in a range of textures and wooden walls. The muted tones are punctuated by bright mustard-coloured lamps and light purple chairs. Plus, the floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of light, making it feel bright and airy.
If you’re a music fan, then you’re in luck. The venue is designed for you to rush in and out or linger and stay. Guests can listen to tunes while they wait for their order. We spotted vinyl records on the shelves, and record players with headphones.
Jae’s Bunsik’s coffee includes a blend of Ethiopian coffee, black sesame, hojicha, and matcha. The bites include Kimchi Fried Chicken, Korean Fried Chicken, OG Ramyun, Truffle Chappagetti, and Ttukbeokki.
The UAE has been welcoming a range of concepts which draw inspiration from South Korea. Bando Coffee opened in Wafi Mall, Dubai. Plus, it is also home to South Korean beauty, bibimbap and barbeque spots.
Located near the Sharjah airport, Aljada is becoming Sharjah’s self-contained city, packed with amenities and attractions. Once complete, it will be home to a range of restaurant and retail options, and several hotels, including Address, Rove, and Vida.
Jae’s Bunsik in Sharjah is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 3pm to 11pm.
