The restaurant promises Indian flavours with a contemporary twist.
Dubai has never been short of Indian restaurants, from the theatrical flair of the FACT award-winning Trèsind Studio to the coastal creations at Kinara and the playful plates at Masti. Now, a new name joins the conversation: Lavang.
Located in Downtown Dubai, Lavang takes its name from the humble clove, a staple in South Asian kitchens. With this launch, founder Diviya Kalra pays homage to her roots and reimagines tradition with modern elegance. Inspired by her father, the legendary chef and entrepreneur Ashok Kalra, known for Mughal Mahal in Kuwait, Diviya has taken her love for food and family to create Lavang.

Lavang’s interiors are a masterclass in grandeur: soaring 12-metre ceilings, cascading chandeliers, and a palette of turquoise, beige and white that evokes serenity and sophistication. Polished marble floors and gilded accents add a regal finish to the experience.
Blending heritage with haute design, Lavang promises Indian cuisine with a contemporary flair that is ready to wow diners. Street food staples like Pani Puri and Jalebi Chaat are reimagined with finesse, while creations such as the Malai Caesar Salad and Wild Sea provide a nod to global influence. For mains, standout dishes include the aromatic Mangalorean Crab and the Chicken Tikka Trio.

Lavang is a love letter to India’s culinary heritage, thoughtfully composed and beautifully plated. With its luxe setting and inventive menu, it’s poised to become a Downtown Dubai favourite for those in search of refined Indian dining with soul.
