The restaurant pairs the precision of artificial intelligence with the artistry of celebrated chef Reif Othman.
Dubai’s dining scene is no stranger to pushing boundaries, but this September, it’s about to get a lot more futuristic. Enter WOOHOO, the newest concept from Gastronaut Hospitality, launching at Kempinski The Boulevard in Downtown Dubai and making global headlines with the world’s first artificial intelligence chef.
Developed by UMAI, Chef Aiman is no back-of-house algorithm. He’s designed to co-create in real time. Chef Aiman is wired to learn, evolve, and craft with nuance, pulling from global data sets to inform everything from seasonal flavour profiles to textural contrasts. His capabilities extend to mood-based flavour pairing, ingredient optimisation and recipe precision.

Even the most advanced AI needs a human touch, so AI Chef Aiman will be joined by Chef Reif Othman. Renowned for his inventive approach to Japanese and Asian cuisine, Chef Reif brings human instinct, experience and a mastery of fine dining to this one-of-a-kind collaboration.
The menu at WOOHOO promises international flavours with a contemporary Asian edge. Expect sushi engineered for maximum umami, citrus-laced ceviche, and robata-grilled skewers.
The beverage programme keeps pace, offering a futuristic edge with molecular mixology, AI-assisted cocktail pairings, and a hand-picked list of rare spirits and sakes that challenge the traditional drink menu.

Visually, WOOHOO leans into a bold cyberpunk aesthetic. Think reactive digital screens, animated projections, and a design scheme that feels like it’s been taken from a sci-fi movie. The standout is “Spock,” a signature private lounge that takes diners on a simulated space journey complete with cinematic visuals and immersive sound.
“We didn’t set out to just open a restaurant,” says Gastronaut Hospitality founder Ahmet Oytun Cakir. “We set out to challenge everything the industry thinks it knows about dining. WOOHOO is what happens when you stop accepting the rules of traditional dining and start asking: what if a machine could co-create with a chef? This isn’t a gimmick. It’s the future—whether the industry is ready or not.”

Woohoo Dubai has been created by the hospitality group, Gastronaut. The same team made the food meets tech experiences Blume, Boho, Trove and Zenon. FACT was the first to reveal Zenon before it caused a stir on social media, and we are now the first to reveal the opening of Woohoo in Dubai.
