Expect to indulge in some classic favourites.

While Dubai’s dessert scene is overflowing with cake shops and patisseries, it’s surprisingly short on places dedicated to authentic Emirati sweets. But that’s about to change with the arrival of Dibsa.

Dibsa is a homegrown Emirati dessert house that celebrates local flavours with a modern twist. Behind the concept are co-founders Hamad Al Nuaimi and Ayesha Seedat, who share the belief that Emirati desserts can be both preserved and innovated, and be included in modern dining featuring the flavours they grew up with. For them, Dibsa isn’t just another venture. It’s a deeply personal passion project, transforming something old into something new without losing the essence of what makes it so loved.

At Dibsa, tradition takes centre stage. Founded on the belief that heritage shouldn’t just be remembered but continuously lived, Dibsa offers a gradual return to familiar flavours, crafted with a contemporary touch. In fact, the name itself comes from the Arabic word for rich date syrup, a staple in Emirati kitchens and a symbol of hospitality.

The menu is a sweet homage to Emirati desserts, blending nostalgia with innovation. Expect creations like Mahalabiya Cookies, Aseeda Cookies, Chebab Cookies, Aseeda Cake, and Frozen Bites. The star of the show is the famous Batheetha Cheesecake, which is a tribute to the essence of Emirati taste.

Dibsa stands out in Dubai’s dessert landscape. It’s not jumping on any trends — although it might be setting a new one. Instead, it invites you to slow down. So, honour the past, and turn every bite into a memory. So, if you’re looking for a sweet treat or just a taste of home, this is one dessert house that delivers nostalgia in every box.
