Could this be d3’s most elegant new opening?
Dubai’s dining scene is no stranger to fusion, but few restaurants manage to balance refinement and creativity quite like Mayg, the latest addition to the ever-evolving Dubai Design District. Blending the elegance of French cuisine with the finesse of Japanese technique, this intimate new concept is helmed by Chef Aadel Ouaoua, who brings over two decades of culinary mastery from Paris to the heart of Dubai.
From the moment you enter, Mayg transports you into a world where detail reigns supreme. The interiors are both soft and striking, plush white seating, rich maroon and gold accents, and elegant wooden flooring create a warm, inviting atmosphere. A sculptural ceiling, inspired by clouds, floats above the dining space, gently tinted with pastels that shift in the light, lending the room an ethereal quality. Around the bar, hints of fresh greenery add a natural contrast to the otherwise polished space.

The culinary offering is no less considered. The Salmon Ceviche is equal parts flavour and theatre, a delicate blend of sashimi, mango, avocado, and shiitake mushrooms, finished tableside with a warm pour-over broth.
The Wagyu Striploin with Veal Jus Reduction showcases classic French techniques elevated with a Japanese edge, its oak-fire grilling imparting depth and smoke. And for a sweet finale, the Carrement Tous Chocolat dessert is an indulgent ode to cocoa in all its forms.

Chef Aadel’s approach to cooking is rooted in storytelling, and each dish is crafted with precision, yet carries a personal, expressive touch. With a focus on seasonal ingredients and thoughtful presentation, Mayg offers an experience designed to linger long after the final bite.
Whether you’re planning a date night or a refined evening with friends, Mayg in d3 is one to watch.
