Visit the newly opened Grove Road at The Pointe:
Grove Road, the newest gastronomic venture from the team at award-winning cafe BYSTRO, is now opened at The Pointe on the Palm Jumeirah. Taking inspiration from Australia’s culinary capital, Melbourne, Grove Road serves fresh and flavourful food and drinks with full views of The Pointe’s record-breaking fountains. Appetisers start from AED 50 and include avocado tartare and Malaysian clams. Robust salads, packed with vegetables and flavour include a beetroot salad, a super food salad, as well as a halloumi Salad. A Classic cheeseburger and a New England lobster toll feature in the In Bread section of the menu, while Main dishes start at AED 80 and include Sichuan spiced lamb cutlets, whole Seabass, a seafood platter for two, and classic fish and chips. From 5pm to 7pm, a daily happy hour sees house beverages offered at a 2-for-1 discount.

Indulge in festive specials at Scalini:
Scalini Dubai is celebrating the magic of the winter season with an elevated menu of special dishes, designed to bring friends and family together. Curated by Head Chef Giuseppe, the menu features the flavours of southern Italy and its yuletide traditions. Guests can feast on Insalata di Mare, a medley of fresh clams, mussels, octopus, squid, prawns and langoustines on a bed of pink tomatoes, followed by Beef Tartare, raw Australian wagyu beef served with chives, shallots, capers and Scalini’s signature mustard sauce, prepared at each table for a bespoke experience. Main courses include Pappardelle Porcini and Black Truffle, thick ribbons of pappardelle pasta with porcini mushrooms, fresh parmesan and shavings of aromatic black truffle; Special Tagliatelle with Lobster, homemade squid ink tagliatelle sautéed with lobster in a light cherry tomato sauce topped with bottarga and served in a half lobster shell; and a beautiful Slow Cooked Short Rib, the recipe for which has been passed down from Chef Giuseppe’s Mamma, who perfected the 48hour slow-cooked Australian beef short rib served with homemade gravy and roasted garlic. Celebrates the Festival of Dongzhi at Shanghai Me:
Throughout December, Shanghai Me celebrates the time-honoured tradition of Dongzhi. Otherwise known as the Winter Solstice and originating back to the Han Dynasty, 2,000 years ago, it is the season of gatherings, a time to bask in a warming reunion with family and friends whilst celebrating unity and prosperity with a lavish feast. Dongzhi echoes the principles of the yin and yang philosophy and focuses on cuisine that nourishes the body. With that in mind, guests can choose from Shanghai Me’s epicurean a la carte menu with highlights including the Peking Duck with Chinese Caviar, Grilled Silver Cod with Yuzu Miso Sauce and sumptuous grilled Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Chili Sauce. As dumplings are a traditional dish eaten during the festival, diners can feast on an array of delicious dim sum, including Steamed Prawn and Truffle Dumplings Har Gau, Braised Wild Mushroom Dumplings and Steamed Kimchee Wagyu Dumplings. For the ultimate sweet indulgence, guests can enjoy Shanghai Me’s signature Giant Fortune Cookie, with chocolate and matcha mousse filling and hazelnut coating, complete with an edible fortune inside.

The Void is now open at Studio One Hotel, offering something for those looking for the perfect afternoon lunch, sundowner or family day out. Looking to ‘fill the void’ when it comes to food, atmosphere, and activities to keep the kids entertained, this new spot promises a no-frills experience. Children will be kept busy in the ‘Busy Kids Studio’ which offers a variety of workshops and activities including slime making, hand sanitiser making and more. The sectioned off area will also have a kids playground, where kids can be kept entertained during brunch or dinner. At the weekends a certified kids activity provider called ‘Busy Kids’ will take the reins, and there’s a daily happy hour from 5pm to 8pm.
