If you love the smell of freshly baked bread, head over to the new branch of Home Bakery Kitchen in Abu Dhabi. Located in Marina Mall, it oozes a relaxed yet stylish ambience. The menu includes plenty of sweet treats: biscotti, brownies, cakes, doughnuts, ice cream and more. Oh, and that brilliant bread, from flavoured loaves to sourdough bread.

Try the brilliant business lunch at Sfumato 

We love Sfumato in Dubai, so we were thrilled to hear that it launched a business lunch. The dishes range from a Tuna Tartare with mango and coriander ponzu, to a Grilled Striploin with roasted potatoes. The fine dining experience showcases seasonal produce and vegetarian dishes. The menu is available on weekdays from noon to 4pm. AED 115 (two-course meal), and AED 135 (three-course meal).

Check out the Demon Summer Brunch

Alvin Leung, the celebrity chef behind Demon Duck in Caesars Palace Dubai, has launched a new brunch. Demon Summer Brunch showcases his innovative take on Asian classics. The dishes include Chop Chop Suey, Minced Beef Gyoza and Shrimp Gao. Give your brunch an upgrade and order the Slow Roasted Whole Demon Duck – it costs an additional AED 400. The brunch runs from 1pm to 4pm and starts from AED 299 per person.

Watch a Martin Scorsese Retrospective

“You talkin’ to me?” If you know where this line is from, then this Martin Scorsese Retrospective is for you. Cinema Akil is celebrating the American filmmaker, and showing 10 of his most famous films. The season runs until 14 September, and Mean Streets is being screened from 4.30pm.
