MEI, the Chinese-Japanese dining destination at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, debuts a weekday lunch built around house signatures. The set menu moves from Miso Soup, Crispy Squid and Salmon Maki to a dim sum course, then on to mains such as Black Cod with Black Bean Sauce, Kung Pao Cornfed Chicken and Wok-Style Spicy Prawn. Add the Chef’s Daily Dessert Selection for AED 40, and pair with Egg Fried Rice or sautéed Pok Choi. Available Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 3pm. AED 185 per person.

Have dinner at Arrogante

Arrogante, the contemporary Italian at Dubai Opera Residences, unveils a new menu that respects tradition while embracing modern technique. Executive Chef Koyi Tanabe reimagines regional classics with dishes like Beef Cheek Plin Ravioli, Ricciola e Mandorla and Zucca e Polpette Pizza. From premium caviar to polished Wagyu plates, the menu leans into comfort and craft with a confident ode to la dolce vita.

Enjoy a memorable meal at Tasca by José Avillez

Fresh from a design refresh inspired by Lisbon’s neighbourhood eateries, the FACT award-winning Tasca at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, returns with a special collaboration dinner. Chef José Avillez and Head Chef José Barroso welcome Chef Izu Ani, Chef Salam Dakkak, Chef Mohamad Orfali and Chef Himanshu Saini for one night, celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and community. Try the Reif Othman and Dmitrii Blinov collab

Two homegrown favourites join forces as FACT Dining Award-winner Chef Reif Othman teams up with DUO Gastrobar’s Chef Dmitrii Blinov for a four-hands, two-part series. The first dinner lands at REIF Japanese Kushiyaki on 6 November with a six-course menu plus dessert, three plates from each chef and curated cocktails to match. From AED 425 per person.

Spent the weekend at UNTOLD Dubai

Party people, get those dancing shoes on because UNTOLD Dubai 2025 is making a grand return. Taking place from 6 to 9 November, the mega music festival will take place at Dubai Parks and Resorts, and it’s going to be epic. Details of who will be headlining this edition include J Balvin, Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki. The upcoming instalment will feature an even more impressive – and extensive – lineup of artists and new stages.

Dine in the desert at RAIT

Chef Sneha Singhi Upadhaya’s RAIT pops up at Bab Al Shams, a Rare Finds Desert Resort, with a menu inspired by Rajasthan and served beneath starry skies. Begin with Mini Pav Bhaji, Bhutte ka Khees, and Sweet Potato Keema Fries, then move on to charcoal-kissed Angaara Murgh Tikka, Lucknawi Gosht Seekh, and Goan Cafreal Jhinga. Hearty signatures include 24-hour Kali Dal Makhni, Dilli 6 Butter Chicken and fragrant dum biryanis, plus a playful Blue Cheese Naan and sweet finishes like Gulab Jamun and Saffron Rose Mille-Feuille.
